About the Christmas Onion Squishy Design
A floppy Santa hat turns an everyday onion into an unexpected Christmas character. The rounded bulb and curved side panels remain visible beneath the hat, so the picture still reads as a vegetable rather than a snowman. The simple face sits low on the bulb, leaving broad spaces for gentle shading.
Color Ideas for Christmas Onion Squishy
Try an ivory onion with pale gold side panels and a classic red hat. Keep the hat trim and pom-pom light so they stand apart from the bulb. A red onion palette also works: use lavender and purple panels, then choose a green or pink hat for a less traditional holiday combination.
Try a Creative Coloring Activity
Imagine a Christmas vegetable parade with the onion, Santa-hat carrot, and eggplant. Give each character a different hat color and arrange the completed pictures together as a cheerful kitchen-themed holiday display.
